This line of only 8km is nevertheless important as it runs from the Bombala Branch into the nation's capital, Canberra. It sees regular freight, in the form of an oil train, as well as passenger trains.
It is also used as the base for the Australian Railway Historic Society (ARHS) ACT branch, which runs tours using its restored rolling stock.
