| Description: | St James is unusual in that it has two platforms which were never used. The inner platforms were built to service proposed eastern and western suburbs lines which were never built. Before the loop was completed, St James was the end of the line and thus had substantial turnback facilities consisting of a pair of dead end sidings with a small signal box. This facility is no longer used. | ||
