| Description: |
A down-side station on an 86m platform, Merriwa boasted the usual facilities of a steam-age terminus: a turntable, coal stage, engine shed and water tank. Opposite the station was a goods shed and gantry crane. At the up end of the yard were stockyards and a siding.

The station building is still well maintained, and is now a private residence. The crane and goods shed are still present. At the down end the water column, turntable and buffer stops are still present. Much of the yard is still intact.
